My son Gabriel was born with an undeveloped left ear. Basically he had a nub where his ear lobe should have been and that’s about it. I would like to thank Dr. Griffiths for the wonderfully detailed job he did constructing a new flesh and blood ear for my son. Our experience thus far has exceeded all of my expectations. From start to finish the staff of Dr. Griffiths office have been supportive and helpful above and beyond what I expected, doing everything from fighting to get funding for the procedure to juggling appointment dates so I did not have to miss quite a much work. I would like to single out Star and thank her for fighting so effectively on my behalf of my son. Dr. Griffiths, aside from doing a wonderful job on my son’s ear was also never more than a phone call or text away at all times during my son’s recovery. He took the time to make sure I knew exactly what to watch for and what precautions I needed to take post surgery. Dr. Griffiths helped relieve our worry and stress level by taking the time to explain every aspect of my son’s recovery and how we needed to care for him post operation, knowing he was always a phone call away and that he carried his phone at all time just for us was a great relief. I am not a very eloquent person so I cannot adequately convey how grateful we are to have had Dr. Griffiths, Star, and the rest of his team behind us through this. My son will not go through life feeling different or self conscious about a deformed ear or the fact that he is half deaf. Because of Dr. Griffiths and his staff my boy now has an amazing looking new ear and will soon be fitted with a bone anchored hearing device which will allow him to hear from both sides. All in all our experience and level of care was excellent.
